boo ppl :P *wipes dust* here to clear the dust from my blog again! ._. haha been bz these few days thx to the recent friday's performance.
hmm...was quite a nice performance =) performed some easy songs, and my solo piece o.o LOL! skipped a whole chunk of it XD and made a horrible mistake x.x wells on the overall, hai hao lor XD got a nice bouquet of flowers =D wahaha! ended quite late, so we all took cab home (except for yikhung the lucky guy who had a free ride home in mr tan's car! LOL! ._.) haha yeaps =D
havent been hanging out wif my clique these few days thx to my performance. hope can hang out wif them soon. although i dun deny, i have recently been wanting to go home early because i'm god damn tired x.x idk, feeling easily tired =X hope can hang out wif them soon :P i tink, tmr ba o.o haha XD
hmm, today ar. usual bbccco day lors XD but one amazing thing is, we collaborated wif westwinds (aka, a western winds band). was considerably okay bahs o.o wells, we started off by having jus a CO practice, without band. and was quite nice =) cao yuan shang, as usual up to standard. =D i hope can improve on my dynamics at crescendos and decrescendos. i jus cant do them well =X
then chun jie xu qu, was the song we collaborated wif band. =D wells, it was smth new at least. we get to hav a chinese western fusion. i hav fancied western music since young, although recently since i got hooked up by CO music, i kinda lost a lil interest in western music =X my fav instrument, the oboe, did not appear today! and the tubas and euphoniums r so many, they totally overwhelmed the orchestra+band ._. flutes were quite soft. french horn was invisible o.o i didnt even noe thr was one until yikhung told me! LOL. clarinets were pros and they r quite frenly. saxaphones, another invisible one x.x could see the ppl but couldnt hear them playing =X bassoons were hao lian zzz ._.
was quite chaotic initially. had some bar number clashes, where they lacked/extra some parts o.o oh yes not to forget, tan bo yue also poofed XD 2 pipa, 1 zhongruan (me ._.), 1 liuqin, and 1 yangqin. i tink is invisible o.o gene say she couldnt listen to us at all =X LOL! gene's dizi was quite loud =) and was praised by ronald! XD yikhung was also invisible at the da zhu parts, but at his solo, he did well =D bravo :P
the onli thing i didnt like about the collaboration is that, i find the real essence of the song was lost. although undeniably that the band was of a high standard, but a chinese orchestra has a wide range of instruments. not to forget the bowed strings =) in chun jie xu qu, there r many parts meant for different instruments to 'show off' like a dialogue btwn dizi and erhu, a sheng solo, a cello solo, suona phrase, a tan bo yue phrase (with erhu as melody), and to end wif a strong percussion. but all i heard today, was winds winds winds ._.
no offence but i still prefer chinese orchestra. maybe tats y i chose this path =X yet on the other hand, bravo westwinds =D hope to see u all again nxt week. and bbccco, also another bravo =D chun jie was quite fast today, and we managed to survive. =X wenshan jyjy =D
yeaps. =D tat will be all ppl! =D thrs sch tmr -faints- i'm realli getting sick of sch, idk why. i jus feel so tired and that i wanna stay at home n slp n slp n slp =X bwahaha!
