Hello people, glad to see all of you again! :) It has been a busy weekend and I think I really need some rest today. I'm so gonna sleep early tonight so that I won't be late for class tomorrow. :X

As mentioned, yesterday went to watch Ninja Assassin. Was more of a gore film instead of action actually. Knew that it was M18, but didn't expect such extreme gore. Details to be concealed though! :X On the overall, the storyline was very good, but the gore was unnecessary can ._. Was totally freaked out, and half of the time, was covering my face! :X Such a weak heart I have! You have a much stronger heart than mine! :X *growls!*

After which, we departed our ways and I went off to Tanjong Pagar to meet Hsien Hean, Shuzhen and Cassandra, in which we headed to Singapore Conference Hall for the NYPCO concert. :) Was very early, reached around half hour before show start. So we slacked around for a few moments before we were given entry to the hall. Chose a considerably good seat as the entire orchestra can be viewed. Thanks Hsien Hean, good choice! :)

On the overall, the performance was quite interesting. They took a special direction in Chinese Orchestra music, I would say! :) Although the Han Tian Lei was quite disappointing :( The melody was constantly repeating, but it was really cute. A jazz rendition to be precise :D I think they deserve a good applause for the new direction!
Shang Hai Tan was good as usual. Woodwinds forever powerful :) I saw Taurus as the Di Yin Suona, very loud and good. They had the One Night In Beijing, which was quite good. Jing Hu was a little too soft for a soloist. The Suona girl was really amazing!

They had a very interesting song, first of the kind. Musique De Cuisine, or something along that line. :X As the name speaks, the Food Music :X Percussionists used interesting 'mallets' like Butcher's Knives (How dangerous! XD). Some had pots & pans, salt and pepper shakers, pails, and some more which I've forgotten. A very interesting concept in the music direction too. Had 3 sections, a French 'Appetizer', a Japanese 'Main Course' and a Latin-American 'Dessert'. The nationality explains the mood and feel of the music. French style was cool, felt the sudden Paris feel :) Japanese small duet between Sanxian and Guzheng was commendable! The Sanxian guy was good :) Yet, the parts behind were quite disappointing. Constantly having similar repeats in the melody without any mood change. Yet, good song :)

They had a small percussion ensemble called Tribal Beat. More of a skit-like piece, with people wearing masks and playing the drums. 16 people on stage at that moment, amazing :) They had Tai Yang also. The orchestra was really good :) But the percussion soloists, I think they tried their best though! :) Although there was noticeable mistakes, and the soloists dropped their mallets, still a good attempt! :) They had an alien encore piece which I have no idea what it was, but quite energetic too! :D

After which, went to Lao Pa Sat for a short supper before going home. Had Black Currant Ice-Kachang. Very interesting, although the lollipop on top was totally uncalled for! Yet, the red-beans were totally incompatible for this dish. After which, trained home with Hsien Hean, as Shuzhen and Cassandra were not along the same line and direction as us. Amazingly saw Jeff in the train with a girl (probably his next target :X). Chatted a while, and then alighted. :D

Yesyes, that was all about yesterday. How about today? Today was another day at Bukit Batok Community Centre CO. :) Glad to have two ZhongRuan players to play together with. Okay, I did ask for their name, but I forgotten it already :X They tried their best :) Will try to guide them (although I'm still of no position to do that :X I'm still a 'freshman' in ZhongRuan!). Forgotten to bring my scores to practice today, ended up taking new scores for JiaWei. All was okay, until Xi Yue, in which I was given the conductor's score to play (since the only copy of the ZhongRuan score was with me!). Still quite okay, but I really need more practice in reading staff notation!
Was amazed by a great Cellist today. :) Her cello's "voice" was very loud, precise, and clear. Yet elegant and beautiful too. Such envy, she played so well. One day, I believe I'll play my ZhongRuan as great as her on her cello! (Although I know that this is a cross-instrument comparison, which is not very valid!). Her quaver-triplets were hell-of-a-good. I really hope to get to play DaRuan soon (Once there are people who can manage the ZhongRuan section without me!), because the DaRuan parts were very similar to cellos. And would like to try out something new, at least a new part in the song. :)

That's right. After which, went off already. Took a self-portrait again in the train. :X Such vanity of me ._.

Another day of school tomorrow, how boring. See you all people :)

P.S.: Love couple seats :X Loving you <3
