Curling up the corners of my mouth, I tried to smile.
In my heart, with much denial.
There I am, crying like a child.
My life, has became so foul.

Apologies you say, I've forgiven any misdeed.
After all, both of us are at fault, leading to the start of growing this seed.
Seed of love, hope to bear fruit of happiness and not lust and greed.
But it has broken apart, like a necklace which has dropped a bead.

Between us, what's lacking, I'd not say.
Now I just go, day by day.
On the bed at night, there I lay.
Wondering what went wrong, about our way?

Tears drizzle on my meal every time.
I'm reminded of the days you were mine.
Those cheerful moments we'd enjoy things fine.
Remember the movies we watched, for our relationship to bind?

After school, I'd sometimes await for you outside school.
Any way I look at you, you were so cool.
Sometimes you said "I can't meet you today, boo..."
I'd say, It's okay *with a smile*, there's tomorrow too.

But now, tomorrow never seemed like a better day of the year.
A new day in the past, was 24 hours of love, no fear.
It's your lovely voice and much concern, I'd always hear.
Even late at night, your love was beside me, just here.

Those days were so colourful, I'd look forward to so much.
Everything I could grasp so tightly within my clutch.
It seemed so real, the love was tangible to touch.
Black and white, now my life, as such.

I try to go past the days with joy.
Like in a past, as a small little boy.
But life's probably playing with me, like a toy.
With these sad feelings, I'd never want to employ.

Now, your love seems so far, as though it's beyond reach.
How to gain it back, no textbook could teach.
It's just like a colourful rainbow being bleached.
It's just like before an accident, you hear a screech.

That sound, when I heard, I predicted calamity.
But there I stood, drinking my warm cup of tea.
Never imagined, this day was coming to me.
The day I dreaded for has come, the end of 'we'.

Your world, I'm not in it.
Maybe I'm just not deem fit.
Where was I wrong? Your expectations, I did not meet?
Maybe, I'm still just a kid.
